I Wish I Knew Everything
I wish I knew everything
about the earth,
about the sea,
about me.
I wish I saw the beauty
in all things,
in each man,
in me.
I wish I heard the wisdom
whenever I could,
from whomever I could,
from me.
I wish I could speak clearly
to my family,
to my friends,
to me.
I wish we knew each other
from the inside out,
where nothing hidden
could drive us apart,
and nothing open could create a wedge
between what is and what could be
for you and me.
I wish I knew everything

about the sea,

Love the thought that the vision - the change - the hope - the understanding of others can start with "me." This is one of my favorite postings.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture! A favorite posting for me, too.
ReplyDeleteI just returned home to find these two wonderful comments. I always appreciate the honesty shared about the common issues we face as human beings trying to make a difference in the world.
